Data visualisation in Dandora.

What if the person who has the power and the responsibility to rescue you in times of crisis turned out to be the real danger?

On Friday 19th November 2021 at the Dandora Ward 2 City Council Offices next to Dandora Secondary School, community members and the Social Justice Centres Working Group came together to visualise data about the effect of curfew orders and other pandemic policies.

While under such threat, the community also showed strong signs of solidarity. This is their story.

Our data, our stories.

Newsflash: We are thrilled to announce that Life Under Curfew won gold at the 2022 Information Is Beautiful Awards!

During the pandemic, we worked with community members to collect data about the impact of Covid-19 on our livelihoods. All too often, this data is extracted, and not repatriated. We used a live data visualisation event to share the data insights back to our community, so we could begin to tell our stories together.
