The Social Justice Centres Working Group was founded by community activists in Mathare in Nairobi, Kenya in 2014 to envision and promote more participatory forms of justice and to free the community of human rights violations.

During the pandemic, we worked with community members to collect data about the impact of Covid-19 on our livelihoods. All too often, this data is extracted, and not repatriated. We used a live data visualisation event to share the data insights back to our community, so we could begin to tell our stories together.
